Our History

Duck Hill Baptist Church was established in 1840 at Old Duck Hill, about one mile northwest of present-day Duck Hill. Situated in what then was Carroll County on the old Holly Springs and Middleton stagecoach road, DHBC joined the Yalobusha Baptist Association on October 10th, 1840.

  • 1859 - Reverend A.C. Caperton, first pastor of record

  • 1871 - Montgomery Co. (present-day home of Duck Hill) established

  • 1895 - DHBC joins Yazoo Baptist Association

  • 1921 - DHBC joins Montgomery Co. Baptist Association

  • 1939 - Construction begins at present-day location on Main St.

    • Pictured (left) is the Old Sanctuary, constructed in 1939, which now houses our nursery/children’s education

  • 1940 - DHBC celebrates 100 years of exalting Christ

  • 1968 - DHBC moves into current sanctuary (pictured)

  • 1990 - DHBC celebrates 150 years of kingdom work

  • 1998 - Family Life Center is constructed

  • 2025 - we continue the work of exalting Christ and changing lives
